On September 30, Détour restaurant officially opened after more than a month of trial operation. Carrying the culinary flavors and vibrant summer atmosphere of the South of France, Détour brings diners into rich culinary experiences with a carefully selected menu and a series of special cocktail options in a unique space.
Inspired by “a trip to the sunny South of France” with its bright summer colors and gentle sunshine, Détour promises to help diners escape the inherent noise of the city.
The space has a strong Southern French style with a warm, comfortable and enchanting feeling.
“The dishes at the restaurant do not strictly follow the French culinary style, but still contain French ingredients and variations. By prioritizing the use of local ingredients, diners can see that the dishes here have similarities with Vietnamese cuisine. We hope that in the future, this will become a French restaurant with its own unique style in Saigon,” said Alex Halbers, one of the two founders of the restaurant.
Sake and Bread with Bone Marrow are among the restaurant's signature dishes.

Brunch is served here, suitable for customers with flexible schedules. The dishes also combine the styles of French and Vietnamese cultures, so it is not "picky" about diners.
Not only serving meals, in the evening this place is also a cocktail bar with unique drinks designed specifically for the restaurant's menu.

The highlight of the bar is the “very Vietnamese” cocktails. Cafe Sua Da Martini and Not A Banh Mi are two of the signature drinks that guests can enjoy at any time of the day. In addition, there is an indispensable selection of wines from the South of France.
Brunch is a restaurant specialty.

Not only positioning itself as a fine dining restaurant, the restaurant also aims to bring the unique Vietnamese culture of sharing to the restaurant table. “Détour is a place for diners to release all emotions,” Alex shared.
