UNESCO Club launches free mask distribution program in Hanoi

To contribute to the prevention of pneumonia caused by the nCoV virus, the Hanoi UNESCO Travel Club launched a program to distribute free masks to tourists at famous tourist attractions in Hanoi, starting from February 3, 2020.

In the face of the increasingly tense situation of the pneumonia epidemic, the Government, ministries, departments, branches and Vietnamese people are all implementing and complying with epidemic prevention and control measures according to instructions. In particular, the Market Management Departments of provinces and cities are focusing on strengthening inspection and control of the trading of goods such as: medical masks of all kinds, hand, foot and mouth sanitizer products at all stages of goods circulation (including traditional business and e-commerce) to handle strongly, as well as revoke licenses from establishments that manipulate prices and hoard goods without supplying them to the market.

Many locations across cities in Vietnam are organizing free mask distribution.

In order to contribute to the prevention of pneumonia caused by the nCoV virus, the Executive Committee of the Hanoi UNESCO Travel Club launched a program to distribute free masks with the message "Join hands to fight the nCoV virus", and at the same time called on individuals and businesses that are members of the Club to participate, contributing to repelling the epidemic in the capital.

Specifically, the program plans to distribute free masks to residents and tourists from Monday, February 3, 2020 at the following locations:

  • Thang Long Imperial Citadel
  • Temple of Literature
  • Turtle Tower
  • Ngoc Son Temple
  • Hanoi Department of Tourism
  • Museum of Ethnology
  • Hoan Kiem Lake area
  • Hanoi Opera House
