Given the increasingly tense situation with the pneumonia epidemic, the Government, ministries, agencies, and the people of Vietnam are all implementing and complying with epidemic prevention and control measures as guided. In particular, the Market Management Departments of provinces and cities are focusing on strengthening inspections and controls of the business of goods such as medical masks, hand sanitizers, and other related products throughout the distribution chain (including traditional businesses and e-commerce) to take strong action, including revoking licenses from establishments that manipulate prices and hoard goods, preventing them from being supplied to the market.
Many locations across Vietnamese cities are organizing free mask distributions.
To contribute to the prevention and control of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus (nCoV), the Executive Board of the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club launched a program to distribute free face masks with the message "Join hands to fight against the novel coronavirus," and called on individuals and businesses that are members of the Club to participate and contribute to pushing back the epidemic in the capital.
Specifically, the program plans to distribute free face masks to residents and tourists starting Monday, February 3, 2020, at the following locations:
- Thang Long Imperial Citadel
- Temple of Literature and National University
- Turtle Tower
- Ngoc Son Temple
- Hanoi Department of Tourism
- Museum of Ethnology
- Hoan Kiem Lake area
- Hanoi Opera House
