According to the travel magazine Travel + Leisure, Phu Quoc Island was voted the second most beautiful island in the world by its readers. This is a category within the framework of the annual World's best award.
Travel + Leisure of the US has just announced the list of 25 most beautiful islands and archipelagos in the world this year, promising to bring interesting experiences to tourists. Vietnam's "Pearl Island" Phu Quoc took second place with a score of 94.41. Travel+Leisure commented that tranquility is considered the island's greatest strength. Located in the Gulf of Thailand, Phu Quoc is famous for its pristine beaches and luxury resorts. According to the Kien Giang Department of Tourism, Phu Quoc welcomed 500,000 foreign tourists in the first 6 months of this year, an increase of 44% over the same period last year.
