From May 1, Quang Ninh will officially add a fee for three tours of Ha Long Bay, one of the natural wonders of the world, for tourists who choose to travel on cruise ships without overnight stays. This decision is not only a financial adjustment but also demonstrates a strategic vision in the management and sustainable development of this precious heritage.
Of these, two are new itineraries and one has been put into service on the restaurant ship but has not yet applied a fee. This policy was officially approved by the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council on February 26.
Quang Ninh will add fees to three Ha Long Bay tours for tourists traveling on cruise ships without overnight stays.
Ha Long Bay 6 itinerary (VHL6 - new itinerary): Route from the Port - Chan Voi Island - Ba Cua lagoon - Tung Lam island - Cap Bai island (the final point adjacent to Gia Luan, Lan Ha Bay, Hai Phong) or vice versa, fee 150,000 VND/time/person/day.
Ha Long Bay 7 itinerary (VHL7 - new itinerary), tourists will visit Ha Long Bay routes 1, 2, 3, 4, the fee is 600,000 VND/time/person/day, which is the highest fee for passengers on the ship who do not stay overnight.
Ha Long Bay 8 itinerary (VHL8 - already in service): Route from Tuan Chau Passenger Port - Ha Long International Passenger Port - South Cau Trang area, fee 70,000 VND/time/person/day. This is a journey running along the coast of Ha Long city, has served tourists on restaurant boats for many years but has not yet collected a fee.

According to the Provincial People's Council (PC), the addition of fees for sightseeing tours on Ha Long Bay is a necessary and urgent step, aiming to ensure strict compliance with current regulations, while meeting strict requirements in the management, conservation and promotion of the invaluable value of the World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay. This is not only a financial adjustment, but also a strong commitment of Quang Ninh province to protect and preserve one of the most unique natural wonders on the planet.

The adjustment of the additional entrance fee will officially take effect from May 1, a carefully chosen time to ensure there is enough time for thorough preparation of the necessary conditions for the implementation of the fee collection. During this period, Quang Ninh province will focus on orientation and extensive propaganda to local people and tourists, in order to raise awareness of the importance of preserving Ha Long Bay. At the same time, the province will also conduct detailed announcements to travel businesses, creating conditions for them to carry out the work contents according to the signed contracts, as well as announcing the adjustment and supplement of the contract in the next phase.
In addition, Quang Ninh province will also develop a detailed plan for the development and sale of new tourism products, as well as sign new contracts to diversify tourism experiences in Ha Long Bay. These efforts are not only aimed at increasing revenue for the local budget, but also contribute to improving the quality of tourism services, bringing memorable experiences to tourists when visiting this beautiful natural wonder.
