Notably, the number of international visitors to Hanoi continues to increase. In March 2023 alone, the number of international visitors to Hanoi was estimated at 397,200, a 40% increase compared to February 2023. Thanks to this continued increase, the average occupancy rate for 1-5 star hotels reached approximately 56.4%, a 0.2% increase compared to February 2023 and a 34.7% increase compared to the same period in 2022. In the first quarter of 2023, the average occupancy rate for 1-5 star hotels was estimated at approximately 56.5%, a 37.2% increase compared to the same period in 2022.
Regarding standardized tourism services, Hanoi currently has 29 food and beverage establishments, 35 shopping establishments, 6 entertainment establishments, and 1 healthcare establishment that have been certified as meeting standards for serving tourists. This system of shopping, dining, and entertainment establishments that meet tourist service standards has attracted and served a large number of tourists and locals who come to visit and shop.
Hanoi currently has 3,756 tourist accommodation establishments with 70,218 rooms; of which 602 hotels have been rated from 1 to 5 stars with 25,432 rooms, accounting for 16% of the total number of tourist accommodation establishments in the area and 36.2% of the total number of rooms.
In the coming period, the Hanoi Department of Tourism will continue to coordinate with localities to focus on building and developing a number of pilot models of agricultural and rural tourism in the districts of Dan Phuong, Thach That, Thanh Tri, My Duc, Thuong Tin, and Son Tay town…
