old brick kiln
In the last two years, old brick kilnIt's a name that's very popular among young people and is being shared by word of mouth. Located not far from Hoi An, this place started to emerge as a new and unique destination from the beginning of 2020, right after the cafe was completed.
Previously, this place was abandoned for 20 years, then renovated by Ms. Thanh Nga, the owner of the restaurant. Ms. Nga shared: “This field was where I experimented with cultivating various varieties of purple rice from different regions using organic methods. Right here, there was an old, abandoned brick kiln. When people intended to demolish it, I bought it. At that time, everyone said I was crazy.”
After buying the old brick kiln, she renovated it, adding a winding bamboo bridge across the field to welcome tourists who come to visit the rice paddies and take photos. In 2020, she opened a coffee shop and a shop selling agricultural products right next to the brick kiln, with a direct view of the rice fields.
