A representative of Tan Son Nhat International Airport said that from July 1, 2019, the international terminal (T2) will stop broadcasting by microphone (speaker), automatic broadcast models at the terminal. At the same time, only the "Gate change" broadcast model will be maintained: Announcing departure gate changes. For the domestic terminal (T1), this change will be applied from October 1.

All status information will be continuously updated on the FIDS screen system and implemented according to the issued coordination regulations. Tan Son Nhat International Airport has sent notices to airlines and ground service units about the implementation plan. In case of problems or difficulties, recommendations will be sent to the airport to ensure the quality of passenger service.
Thus, Tan Son Nhat will be the first airport in Vietnam not to broadcast flight information at the terminal. Previously, since the end of 2016, Noi Bai International Airport only broadcasts each news bulletin once in separate areas according to regulations, also with the purpose of limiting noise.

In the world, it has been a common trend for major international airports to no longer broadcast flight information and switch to using FIDS screens to provide information related to flights, carriers, destinations, flight times, etc.
