Designer Do Manh Cuong has always been a pioneer in organizing regular solo fashion shows both domestically and internationally.
This Spring/Summer, Do Manh Cuong will temporarily leave Ho Chi Minh City to bring his 14th solo fashion show to the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia. Since his Autumn/Winter show at the end of 2018, this information has been revealed, creating excitement among fashion enthusiasts and fans eagerly anticipating his upcoming overseas trip, following the resounding success of his show in the US in 2015.
Designer Do Manh Cuong and businessman, organizer, and producer Pham Huy Can will continue their collaboration on the most anticipated project in Vietnamese fashion this summer. Over the years, this partnership has resulted in 13 high-quality shows, setting standards for individual shows in Vietnam and approaching the benchmarks of leading fashion houses at major international fashion weeks.

Sharing his thoughts on the Spring/Summer 2019 show in Australia, designer Do Manh Cuong said: “Right now I’m really busy preparing for the collection as well as the final stages of the show in Australia. Everything will be kept secret until the last minute, but there will certainly be surprises that will leave viewers in awe.”
Businessman Pham Huy Can graduated from university and started his career in marketing research. He later worked in the Food & Beverage industry and achieved considerable success. Most recently, Pham Huy Can has continued to achieve brilliant results in the fashion business, partnering with designer Do Manh Cuong. However, his activities have been somewhat more low-key, given his leading role.

Sharing his thoughts on the journey over the past 10 years and the upcoming show in Sydney, businessman Pham Huy Can said: “We have always believed that to go far, we must go together. The collaboration between an artist and a businessman creates a complete synergy that helps the brand operate well in the market. Each person will focus only on their expertise to do everything to the best of their ability.”
Over the past 13 shows, what everyone has seen is brilliance and glamour, but we've seen something different: the difficulties and experiences that led to perfection, refining everything to become better and more polished. Throughout that journey, we've achieved success and gained invaluable lessons about the value of excellence. Everything about the show will remain a secret until the last minute. However, one thing is certain: the spectacular emergence of a Vietnamese brand in the heart of glamorous Sydney.”
For this show, designer Do Manh Cuong plans for it to last 30 minutes. He anticipates 50 models performing, including 25 outstanding models from Vietnam who will fly in, and an additional 25 international models selected in Australia.
Designer Do Manh Cuong's Spring/Summer 2019 show is scheduled to take place on May 10, 2019, at the Park Hyatt Sydney. The romantic autumn scenery of Sydney, combined with the iconic architecture of the Opera House, promises to create a stunning and captivating fashion spectacle.
