The White Pear Blossom Festival took place from March 5th to March 15th, 2022. Despite being held on a small scale, the event still attracted considerable public attention. This is also a positive sign for the development of tourism in the Si Ma Cai highlands.
The festival will feature many activities such as the "Spring Flower Viewing - Summer Fruit Harvesting" program, an exhibition of Mong ethnic culture with characteristic products such as labor tools, traditional musical instruments, traditional costumes... along with traditional cultural and artistic activities including Mong folk songs, reed pipe dancing, coin playing, stick pushing competition, tug-of-war...
The area of the Tai Nung pear orchards accounts for approximately 160 hectares out of a total of 300 hectares of temperate fruit trees in Quan Ho Than commune.
The festival aims to celebrate the beauty of pear blossoms – the pristine white flowers that bloom profusely throughout the Si Ma Cai highlands in spring. This is also one of the key crops of the local people, both increasing income and contributing to the formation of a unique product area, opening up opportunities for agricultural tourism linked to the traditional culture of the indigenous Hmong people.
