The full extent of the damage in the Bahamas is still unknown, with power, phone and internet lines still down in many locations. Authorities have yet to send rescue teams to Abaco and Grand Bahama.

As of the afternoon of September 3 (early morning of September 4, Vietnam time), Grand Bahama Island was still under the influence of Hurricane Dorian. Previously, on September 2, this Category 5 super storm slowed down and then almost stopped, causing even greater damage in the Bahamas.

Hurricane Dorian is expected to approach the southeastern coast of the United States in the coming hours, and local authorities from Florida to southeastern Virginia continue to issue numerous warnings about Dorian's deadly danger.
Despite mandatory evacuation orders in Florida, many people still chose to stay or continue their daily activities - an action not encouraged by the government. Notably, while most people were struggling to cope with the strongest storm in the history of the Bahamas, a woman still generously opened her home to let 97 dogs into to be safe from the storm. This action received great support from the online community.
