On the afternoon of January 30th, the 25th day of the 12th lunar month, the Spring Flower Festival for the Year of the Pig officially opened at Tao Dan Park in District 1. The festival features over 3,000 exhibits in various categories including apricot blossoms, frangipani, temperate flowers, bonsai, miniature landscapes, rock gardens, dried plants, and aquarium fish.
The family of golden pigs is attractively decorated at the main entrance of the Tao Dan Spring Flower Festival.
Among them are several rare and precious plants such as centuries-old yellow apricot trees, animal-shaped starfruit trees, a collection of Vietnamese wild orchids including Dendrobium nobile, Narcissus, Dendrobium chrysotoxum, and Dendrobium chrysotoxum; green apricot blossoms, rhododendrons; and ornamental stone and dried tree specimens from artisans of the Central Highlands. The Spring Flower Festival is considered a unique and traditional cultural feature of Ho Chi Minh City every Tet holiday.
