Toyota Vietnam achieved sales of 4,277 vehicles in May.

In May, passenger car sales reached 1,990 units (down 4% compared to the same period in 2015), with the Vios leading the way with 1,066 units sold, a 23% increase year-on-year and accounting for 54% of the segment's total sales. Following the Vios, the Camry achieved sales of 385 units, and the Corolla Altis reached 315 units. Meanwhile, commercial vehicle sales reached 2,287 units, a 27% increase year-on-year in 2015. In May, the Fortuner took the lead in the segment with sales of 1,025 units, an impressive growth of over 31%, followed by the Innova with 822 units sold, a 9% increase.

Over the past month, almost all models imported and distributed by TMV (CBU) experienced high growth compared to the same period last year, with total sales reaching 664 units, a 45% increase. The Yaris continued to lead the segment with sales of 224 units, a 20% increase. This was followed by the Hilux with 194 units, the Land Prado with 113 units, the Land Cruiser with 94 units, and the Hiace with 39 units.

In May 2016, Lexus Vietnam achieved its highest sales figure in the first five months of the year with 269 Lexus vehicles delivered to customers, representing an impressive 136% increase compared to the same period last year and a 77% increase compared to April 2016. A significant contributor to this achievement was the launch of the new RX model earlier this year and the NX200t luxury urban sports car, exactly one year after its launch. Thus, cumulative sales for Lexus in Vietnam in the first five months of the year reached 929 vehicles, a 92% increase compared to the same period in 2015.
