InterNations is the world's largest community of expats (people living and working abroad), with 4 million members in 420 cities worldwide. The latest list is based on the evaluation of 12,000 opinions in the 2021 Expat City Ranking global survey across 57 cities by InterNations.
According to CNBC, the survey assessed expats' satisfaction levels across key categories such as: Quality of life (healthy environment, WiFi speed), Adaptability (language barrier, friendliness of locals), Personal finances (health insurance costs), and Working abroad (job stability, local economy).

Expats noted that the top cities were all easy to integrate into and make friends in. Each city had its own strengths, such as Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Málaga (Spain) being praised for their affordable cost of living, Dubai for its high quality of life, and Singapore for its excellent healthcare.
Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City is highly rated for overall life satisfaction, including aspects such as ease of socializing and making friends, work-cost of living, and work-life balance.
Leading the list is Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), followed by Málaga (Spain), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Sydney (Australia), Singapore, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Additionally, the top 10 also includes Prague (Czech Republic), Mexico City (Mexico), Basel (Switzerland), and Madrid (Spain).
