The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has requested the City's Department of Transportation to monitor the actual traffic situation and adjust the route plan accordingly to avoid traffic congestion. The pilot program will last for 5 years.

According to the City Department of Transportation, the proposal from Vietnam Tourism Joint Stock Company and Anh Viet Hop on - Hop off Vietnam Co., Ltd. will contribute to improving service quality and tourism connectivity when implemented. The vehicles that the two companies will use are 63-seat, double-decker buses with automatically opening and closing canopies.
The ticket prices proposed by the companies are: free for children under 5 years old, 150,000 VND per trip for children aged 6-12, and 200,000 VND per trip for adults… The two open-top bus routes will pass through tourist attractions and historical sites in Ho Chi Minh City, with a travel time of 30-35 minutes per trip, operating from 9:00 AM to 5:45 PM daily.
The two companies mentioned above proposed that the vehicles be put into operation by the end of 2019.
