At the press conference on the afternoon of November 11, Mr. Pham Duc Hai - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Ho Chi Minh City - said that the City People's Committee has just issued a plan to organize a memorial service for compatriots who died and officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Mr. Hai, the memorial program will be organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. The implementing unit is the Organizing Committee for the celebration of major holidays of the city in coordination with relevant departments, branches and units.
The memorial ceremony will be held at 7:00 p.m. on November 19, 2021 at Thong Nhat Hall (135 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, District 1) and Thu Duc City, districts and counties.
Military forces participate in epidemic prevention and control in Ho Chi Minh City
The memorial program will be broadcast live. Specifically, at 7 p.m., some images and reports about Ho Chi Minh City through the "life-and-death battle" with the Covid-19 pandemic will be broadcast. At 7:15 p.m., there will be a speech by the leader of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front or the leader of Ho Chi Minh City. The memorial ceremony for the compatriots who died and the officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives due to the Covid-19 pandemic will take place at 7:30 p.m.
