At 7 PM on November 19th, Ho Chi Minh City will hold a memorial ceremony for citizens who died and officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The ceremony will be broadcast live.

At a press conference on the afternoon of November 11, Mr. Pham Duc Hai, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, announced that the City People's Committee had just issued a plan to organize a memorial ceremony for citizens who died and officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Mr. Hai, the commemoration program will be organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. The implementing unit is the Organizing Committee for the commemoration of major holidays of the city, in coordination with relevant departments, agencies, and units.

The memorial ceremony will be held at 7 PM on November 19, 2021, at the Thong Nhat Hall (135 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, District 1) and in Thu Duc City and other districts and counties.

The memorial program will be broadcast live. Specifically, at 7 PM, some images and reports about Ho Chi Minh City's "life-or-death battle" with the Covid-19 pandemic will be shown. At 7:15 PM, there will be a speech by a leader of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front or a leader of Ho Chi Minh City. The ceremony commemorating the deceased citizens and soldiers who sacrificed their lives due to the Covid-19 pandemic will take place at 7:30 PM.
