“Moc Chau has a cool climate and beautiful nature with many pristine, natural tourist attractions. If you only have 3 days and 2 nights, you can't explore everything here,” shared Nguyen Thu Giang (21 years old, Hanoi), who recently returned from a trip to Hoa Binh and Moc Chau.
Cloud hunting amidst the sea and sky of Hang Kia - Pà Cò
The first destination on Giang Thu's journey is Hang Kia - Pa Co (Hoa Binh), currently emerging as an ideal cloud-watching spot in Northern Vietnam. There's no need to trek to the summit of Fansipan or brave the crowds at Ta Xua; visitors can enjoy the breathtaking sea of clouds right in Hoa Binh. Pa Co is located about 130km from Hanoi by road, taking approximately 3 to 5 hours to travel. The area is predominantly inhabited by the Hmong people, with a diverse culture and traditional values that are being preserved.
This land is blessed by nature with the quintessential beauty of the Northwest highlands, with towering mountains and pristine forests combined with the characteristic cool mountain air. From above, the view encompasses the lush green of the mountains and forests, with glimpses of Hmong houses hidden in the hazy mist. The landscape here always inspires photographers who love to capture stunning images.

Immerse yourself in the breathtaking view of the clouds.
"We arrived here at 11 a.m. and were amazed to see a sea of clouds at midday. We joked that the clouds were hunting us, not us; we were just so lucky," Thu Giang recalled with a laugh.
The moment you reach the summit, gazing at the beautiful scenery before you, and breathing in the fresh air of nature, you'll realize that all your efforts were incredibly worthwhile.
Let your soul wander amidst the flower-covered hills of Xóm Mừng.
From a remote village, Mung hamlet has gradually developed into a community tourism destination, attracting visitors with its hills covered in flowers. Mung hamlet is located in Hop Phong commune, Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, and the flower hills are only about 9km from National Highway 6, the route to Mai Chau and Moc Chau.
Overwhelmed by the beauty of the flower-covered hills in Mung village.
With its cool, fresh climate, this place provides ideal conditions for lush green terraced rice fields and hills covered with sparkling golden flowers, creating an incredibly picturesque landscape.
Thu Giang said the journey wasn't too difficult because it was mostly paved with concrete, only the path up the flower hill was a bit steep and bumpy.
The Mu Nấu plum valley is famous far and wide.
Initially, Thu Giang and her friends planned to visit Na Ka plum valley, but because it was crowded with tourists, the group changed direction and went to Mu Nau valley instead. Thu Giang shared that although it required climbing a steep slope, this valley was less crowded, had many delicious plums, and every tree was laden with large, purple fruit.
"Just sit under the tree, reach up and you can pick those juicy plums. If you want to avoid the crowds, I think you should go to Mu Nau. Besides, there's a cafe in Mu Nau with a stunning panoramic view of the town," Thu Giang said.
Just reach out and you can pick those crisp, sweet plums.
Mu Náu is blessed with a climate particularly favorable for growing plums, resulting in large, juicy, and sweet-fleshed fruit. Because of this, Mu Náu plums have become a top choice for tourists buying souvenirs, embodying the essence of this region.
Fairy Waterfall, the heart of Moc Chau's mountains and forests.
The Fairy Waterfall, also known as Cloud Waterfall or Chieng Khoa Waterfall, is associated with a legend about two beautiful young women who helped the local people learn farming, house building, traditional dances, and the sounds of the khene and pi flutes. To show their gratitude and admiration for their talents and virtues, the people revered them as fairies. After their deaths, the locals erected a temple in their honor, naming it the Temple of Nang Bang - Nang Muong, or the Temple of the Mountain Goddess.
No matter the season, Fairy Waterfall always possesses a breathtaking beauty. Located amidst a pristine forest covered with natural vegetation, it retains its unspoiled and wild character. Upon arriving, visitors will be captivated by the stunning natural landscape, embodying the simple and peaceful beauty of Fairy Waterfall.
