Artist Ly Tran
The "Multicolor" exhibition is a reflection of the artist's personality, shaped by diverse cultures.
The female artist loves street art and graffiti, and enjoys playing with colors. She often combines impressionism and expressionism in her creations. "My multifaceted nature is a reflection of who I am, shaped by diverse cultures," the artist says.
Impressionist paintings are characterized by their striking blend of colors and emphasis on the changing light in the painting. Expressionist paintings, on the other hand, emphasize the subject's feelings or the artist's emotions.

Besides oil and lacquer paintings, some of the artist's works are painted in multiple layers using a combination of different materials. Her artworks are inspired by anything that evokes emotion in her, from tangible subjects like flowers, landscapes, people, and animals to intangible concepts like balance, the life cycle, and love.
Sharing with Travellive, artist Ly Tran said: "As someone born and raised in Vietnam, educated in Russia, residing in the US, and traveling to many countries... I've had the opportunity to experience diverse cultures. Almost every one of my works has a vibrant, bright, and eye-catching quality, with captivating colors. My inspiration comes from anything that moves me. For me, emotion is the key element that creates the lines of a painting when I hold the brush, and each painting is like a reflection of myself within it."

Constantly exploring diverse materials, Ly Tran warms viewers with sweet color harmonies, regardless of whether the color tone is warm or cool.
Artist Ly Tran began painting as a young girl. Her passion for painting truly ignited in 2001 when she moved to Moscow to study industrial design. Seven years of study in painting, drawing, graphic design, sculpture, photography, and more instilled in her a love for art, making painting an integral part of her life.
In 2010, she and her family moved to the United States, settling in the Washington DC area. 2020 was a turbulent year for the world, especially for the United States. This period also marked a turning point for the artist. She had time to reflect on her interests and passions. Afterward, she decided to end all her business ventures to dedicate herself full-time to painting.
In 2021-2022, she participated in dozens of exhibitions in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Philadelphia, and other locations. Besides showcasing her work to collectors, these exhibitions also provided the artist with opportunities to interact with many artists of diverse styles and mediums. This sparked her desire to find a unique material or medium. And Ly Tran came to mind Vietnamese lacquer painting. In 2023, she decided to return to Vietnam.
