The opening ceremony this morning, attended by the French Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Bertrand Lortholary, along with representatives from TLScontact, tourism professionals, and the consular staff of the French Embassy, was a success at the new center located on the 8th floor of the Pacific Place building, 83B Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hanoi.
French Ambassador to Vietnam Bertrand Lortholary speaks at the opening ceremony.
Recognizing the significant increase in demand from Vietnamese tourists visiting France in the last two years (nearly 70,000 visas, of which 40,000 were issued in central Hanoi in 2018), TLScontact in Vietnam aims to meet this demand by planning a new, more innovative space, while also providing services with quality and facilities commensurate with the image of France.

The application reception area has become more spacious and well-maintained.
The waiting area has been decorated in a more cozy and attractive way.
More importantly, Ambassador Bertrand Lortholary stated that instead of having people go to visa application centers, TLScontact aims to proactively reach out to Vietnamese people, especially those in major cities like Da Nang and Hai Phong, so that the visa application and collection process can be done online more quickly and conveniently.
The ambassador spoke with and greeted those waiting to apply for French visas.
In his speech, the ambassador also emphasized that "relations between Vietnam and France are developing positively in all areas," from politics and economics to culture. Therefore, he hoped that the new visa application center would create more opportunities and encourage more Vietnamese people to visit France.
