On October 17, visitors to the New Delhi Zoo (India) were shocked to see a young man jump over the fence surrounding the lion cage and approach to tease this ferocious animal.
Chinmoy Biswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South East, said zoo staff later tranquilized the lion and the man was sent to a medical facility for examination. Fortunately, he was rescued in time and was unharmed.

The incident occurred at around 12:30 pm local time on October 17. The daring young man is named Rehan Khan, 28 years old, from Bihar state (India). According to witnesses, he looked drunk and mentally ill. Later, when interviewed, he shared that he had just been fired and no longer wanted to live.
"A lion of this size can kill a human in just 15 seconds," said expert Anish Andheria of the Wildlife Conservation Trust of India.
In fact, the staff in charge of managing this zoo are also often criticized for lax security, especially in the areas around the cages of large feline animals such as tigers, leopards, lions, etc.
