Indian airline launches direct flights to Vietnam.

Specifically, the direct flight from Kolkata to Hanoi will launch on October 3rd, while the direct flight from Kolkata to Ho Chi Minh City will launch on October 18th.

This direct flight will save time, with the flight time from Kolkata to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City taking only 3-3.5 hours.

In 2018, the number of Indian tourists visiting Vietnam reached over 131,000, an increase of 21%. In the first seven months of this year, Vietnam welcomed approximately 88,500 visitors from India, an increase of over 19.9% ​​compared to the same period last year.

Willia Boulter, the airline's CEO, assessed Vietnam as one of the most promising untapped markets. "We see an increasing demand from tourists for Hanoi, as it is a region that combines economic, cultural, and architectural elements of Southeast Asia and France," he stated.

IndiGo is one of India's largest airlines, holding over 49% of the country's domestic passenger market share and owning more than 200 aircraft. The launch of the new route is expected to boost tourism between the two sides.
