The demolition of the dragon statue is part of a comprehensive renovation plan for the Thuy Tien Lake amusement park. The area has severely deteriorated after years of operation and abandonment. The demolition aims to ensure public safety and contribute to a new landscape for the area.
However, the demolition of the dragon statue has also caused much regret among locals and tourists. The giant dragon statue was one of the symbols of the Thuy Tien Lake amusement park, associated with many memories of generations.
Currently, the Hue City Parks and Greenery Center is coordinating with relevant agencies to safely and promptly dismantle the dragon statue.
