Outstanding athletes at the SEA Games 31 will be awarded a tour to Son Doong Cave.

At the second International Media Conference of the 2021 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) held on the afternoon of May 9th, the Quang Binh Department of Tourism introduced famous domestic and international landmarks such as Son Doong Cave, Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park… and many historical and cultural sites to a large number of international journalists attending the conference.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quy, Director of the Quang Binh Provincial Department of Tourism, shared that with the desire to promote Quang Binh tourism to domestic and international markets, especially ASEAN countries, the Quang Binh Department of Tourism has coordinated with relevant units to implement a specialized communication campaign to introduce Quang Binh tourism on the occasion of the 31st SEA Games. Quang Binh tourism will also carry out direct and digital communication programs to introduce Quang Binh tourism - a natural, attractive, and unique destination.

Mr. Quy added that, when visiting Quang Binh, tourists will be free to immerse themselves in nature, explore many magnificent landscapes in the land of caves, the Phong Nha - Ke Bang World Natural Heritage site, and also a destination for high-end beach resorts, sports tourism, and learning about culture and history.

More specifically, two vouchers for the "Son Doong Cave Exploration - the world's largest cave" tour (worth 140 million VND) from Oxalis Adventure Company will be awarded to the two best athletes of SEA Games 31 (as selected by the Organizing Committee).

A 3-day, 2-night Quang Binh exploration tour, organized by the Quang Binh Department of Tourism, will be awarded to 50 international journalists at the SEA Games 31, valued at 300 million VND. Netin Travel Company is offering tours of Quang Binh and exploration of Cha Loi Cave to coaches and athletes who won gold medals in Karate at the SEA Games 31, valued at 70 million VND.

In addition, tourism service businesses in Quang Binh also have special offers for athletes and coaches who won gold medals at the SEA Games 31, with discounts ranging from 20% to 30%.
