Vietnam honored as "Asia's Leading Destination"

In addition to being named in the categoryTop destinations in Asia, Vietnam is alsoAsia's top sustainable tourism destination(Asia's Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination), and Vietnam National Administration of Tourism achieved the titleAsia's leading travel agency(Asia's Leading Tourist Board) of the World Travel Awards 2021.

In a recent press release, the World Travel Awards Organizing Committee also highly appreciated Vietnam's victory and described it as "a country that has risen through difficulties" to become Asia's top destination.

Not stopping there, many other categories of the award also honored destinations in Vietnam such as Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh), Hoi An (Quang Nam) and Cuc Phuong National Park (Ninh Binh). Notably, Cuc Phuong has won this title for three consecutive years.

In addition, the list of awards in the Asia region of World Travel Awards also named many hotels and resorts of Vietnam in different categories such as Avana Retreat, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort, InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort... along with some amusement parks, ports and major airlines of Vietnam.

Regarding this year's awards, Mr. Graham Cooke - founder of the World Travel Awards, sent his congratulations and affirmed that the candidates had all won worthy victories, and were also pioneers and leaders in the recovery of the global tourism industry.

The World Travel Awards is an annual award, first held in 1993 with the aim of recognizing and honoring outstanding names in all fields of the tourism industry worldwide.

To date, this award has become one of the quality measures of global tourism, known as the Oscars of the tourism industry.
