Vietnam has been honored as "Asia's Leading Destination".

Besides being nominated in this categoryAsia's top destinationVietnam is alsoAsia's leading sustainable tourism destination.(Asia's Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination), and the Vietnam National Tourism Administration received the title.Asia's leading tourism management agency.(Asia's Leading Tourist Board) of the World Travel Awards 2021.

In a recent press release, the World Travel Awards organizers also praised Vietnam's victory, describing it as "a country that has risen from adversity" to become a leading travel destination in Asia.

Furthermore, many other award categories also honored destinations in Vietnam such as Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh), Hoi An (Quang Nam), and Cuc Phuong National Park (Ninh Binh). Notably, Cuc Phuong has won this title for three consecutive years.

In addition, the World Travel Awards' Asia list of winners also named many Vietnamese hotels and resorts in various categories, such as Avana Retreat, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort, InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort… along with several amusement parks, ports, and major Vietnamese airlines.

Regarding this year's awards, Graham Cooke, founder of the World Travel Awards, sent his congratulations and affirmed that all the nominees had deservedly won, and were also pioneers in the recovery of the global tourism industry.

The World Travel Awards is an annual award, first held in 1993, with the aim of recognizing and honoring outstanding achievements in all areas of the tourism industry worldwide.

To date, this award has become one of the benchmarks for global tourism quality, dubbed the Oscars of the tourism industry.
