28/04/2022

The Ministry of Health has just issued a notice guiding medical quarantine activities for people entering Vietnam. Accordingly, all border gates will temporarily stop applying Covid-19 medical declaration for people entering the country from 00:00 on April 27.

According to the Ministry of Health, this decision was made in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic being recorded in most countries around the world, and there are specific and effective vaccines against the SARS-CoV-2 virus strains currently circulating. In addition, recently, the epidemic has also tended to decrease both the number of cases and deaths globally as well as in Vietnam.

This is a decision to relax epidemic prevention and control measures, creating favorable conditions for people and tourists to come to or return to Vietnam. However, the provinces still maintain monitoring of passengers entering the country at border gates according to the provisions of the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases on border health quarantine.

Ho Chi Minh City has also just announced to shorten many medical procedures for arrivals at Tan Son Nhat airport, not checking people with negative nCoV test results.
