According to the Department of Health, before passengers board flights to Vietnam, airlines have checked to ensure all incoming passengers have tested negative in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Health. Therefore, passengers do not need to prove a negative Covid-19 test result again upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport.
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City has reorganized the passenger flow system upon arrival. Passengers who have completed health declarations will be directed to a separate lane for immigration procedures after presenting their QR code to quarantine officers. Passengers no longer need to stop and wait to scan QR codes and verify their information as before.

For passengers who have not yet completed a health declaration, they can do so while moving from the aircraft to the terminal using QR codes placed along the walkway. Alternatively, passengers are allowed to enter a separate area to complete the procedure with the assistance of health quarantine personnel or airline staff.
In addition, the Southern Aviation Authority continues to require airlines to fully inform and guide passengers to complete health declarations before boarding flights to Vietnam.

Currently, there are an average of 40 incoming flights per day, carrying approximately 4,000 to 4,500 passengers. According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, with the plan to reopen all international flights in the near future, congestion will certainly worsen if procedures are not improved.
After implementing the improved procedures, the airport no longer experiences overcrowding and congestion. Passengers who have completed health declarations are virtually free to stop, while those who haven't are directed to a separate area to receive instructions on how to do so.
