Tan Son Nhat Airport is named among the Top 10 best airports in the world.

This is the result of a Skytrax survey of airline passengers regarding infrastructure, service quality, staff, and check-in procedures at over 500 airports worldwide.

Despite the severe damage to the aviation industry caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2020, Tan Son Nhat International Airport still served more than 22 million passengers, including 2.8 million international passengers and 19.2 million domestic passengers.

In previous years, Tan Son Nhat Airport often served more passengers than its designed capacity, but the airport still received investment for many terminal renovations and service quality improvements, such as installing more screening machines and adjusting car lanes.

The airport has implemented numerous disease prevention measures to ensure the safety of its staff, employees, and passengers amidst the complex pandemic situation. The airport has been awarded Airport Health Accreditation (AHA) by the Airports Council International (ACI), certifying that the airport adheres to safe disease prevention procedures in its operations.

The rankings are independently compiled by Skytrax, based on surveys of airline passengers worldwide conducted via their website, feedback forms at international terminal exhibitions, and aviation events around the globe.
