On the evening of March 25, the program "Hanoi Tourism Welcomes 2022 - Get on Hanoi 2022" officially opened at the Octagonal House area (Hoan Kiem district); opening a series of events, festivals, and domestic and international tourism programs.
To continue the program, the Department of Tourism coordinated with relevant units to organize the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2022 to introduce and promote Hanoi tourism gift products; stimulate domestic tourism "Vietnamese people travel to Vietnam" and restore the tourist market to Hanoi after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the three days of the event, the event area will be arranged into many different spaces, including: displaying and introducing tourism gift products with 100 gift booths of artisans; experiencing Hanoi craft village culture; art and culture; displaying beautiful tourism photos, art photos promoting Hanoi tourism; introducing products of localities, tourism businesses, creative young businesses and standard facilities serving tourists.
In particular, in response to the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) taking place in Vietnam from May 12 to 23, 2022, at the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2022, there will be an additional miniature landscape space and a check-in corner for SEA Games 31, arranged with themed frames, inspired by gift products and folk materials that are symbols of Hanoi.

To officially start the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2022, the Opening Ceremony will be held at 8:00 p.m. on April 29, 2022 at Ba Kieu Temple flower garden (Sacrifice Monument for the Fatherland).
In addition to the opening performance and the screening of a film promoting the capital's tourism, the highlight of the program is the art performance "Hanoi - Come to love" performed in front of the public. Also at the Opening Ceremony, the Organizing Committee will launch the Hanoi Gift Product Design Contest and the Hanoi Tourism Photo Contest 2022.

Within the framework of the festival, a series of street performances were held to attract the capital's youth such as: live painting on the Hanoi-themed graffiti wall; cyclo tour around the Hoan Kiem Lake area; flashmob dance group performances; acoustic band performances with young artists, modern young symphony groups; skateboard group performances and a small-scale skateboarding tournament gathering hundreds of young people.
At the main stage area, there will be talks with ca tru, water puppet, and paper fan artists; discussions and sharing about the culture of enjoying Vietnamese tea flavors; sharing about lacquer and to he gifts; performances by acoustic, rock, and traditional music bands; hip hop dance competition combined with DJs and drums by dance groups from different areas of the city.
Along with that are experiential activities: displaying and demonstrating the crafts of artisans; enjoying the taste of coffee; experiencing making fabric mosaics, making figurines, hand embroidery; being creative with Hanoi soap; making paper toys for children; visiting photo exhibitions about Hanoi;...
The above activities will continue throughout the two days of April 30 and May 1, along with many other sideline activities, typically introducing special summer programs and tours with attractive promotions from accommodation and travel businesses and airlines.
