On the evening of March 25th, the "Get on Hanoi 2022" program officially opened at the Octagonal House area (Hoan Kiem district), marking the beginning of a series of events, festivals, and tourism programs both domestically and internationally.
To continue the program, the Department of Tourism, in coordination with relevant units, organized the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2022 to introduce and promote Hanoi tourism gift products; stimulate domestic tourism under the theme "Vietnamese people travel in Vietnam" and restore the tourist market to Hanoi after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Over the three days of the event, the venue will be divided into various spaces, including: a display of tourist souvenirs with 100 gift stalls from artisans; experiencing the culture of Hanoi's traditional craft villages; cultural and artistic activities; displaying beautiful tourist photographs and artistic photos promoting Hanoi tourism; and showcasing products from localities, tourism businesses, creative young entrepreneurs, and establishments that meet standards for serving tourists.
In particular, to celebrate the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) which will take place in Vietnam from May 12-23, 2022, the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2022 will feature a SEA Games 31 themed photo display and check-in corner, inspired by gift products and iconic folk materials of Hanoi.

To officially kick off the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2022, the opening ceremony will be held at 8 PM on April 29, 2022, at the Ba Kieu Temple flower garden (Monument to the Martyrs Who Sacrificed Their Lives for the Fatherland).
Besides the opening artistic performance and the screening of a film promoting tourism in the capital, the highlight of the program is the artistic performance "Hanoi - Come to Love" presented to the public. Also at the Opening Ceremony, the Organizing Committee will launch the Hanoi Gift Product Design Contest and the Hanoi Tourism Photo Contest 2022.

As part of the festival, a series of street performances were held to attract young people in Hanoi, such as: live painting on a Hanoi-themed graffiti wall; cyclo tours around Hoan Kiem Lake; flashmob dance performances; acoustic band performances with young artists and modern youth orchestras; skateboarding performances and a small-scale skateboarding tournament attracting hundreds of young people.
At the main stage area, there will be talks with traditional Vietnamese folk singers, water puppetry artists, and paper fan makers; a panel discussion and sharing about the culture of enjoying Vietnamese tea; sharing about lacquerware gifts and clay figurines; performances by acoustic, rock, and traditional music bands; and a hip-hop dance competition featuring DJs and drums by dance groups from different areas of the city.
Alongside these are experiential activities: exhibitions and demonstrations of traditional crafts by artisans; enjoying the taste of coffee; experiencing making fabric collages, making clay figurines, and hand embroidery; getting creative with Hanoi soap; making paper toys for children; visiting photo exhibitions about Hanoi;…
These activities will continue throughout April 30th and May 1st, along with many other side events, such as the introduction of special summer travel programs and tours with attractive promotions from accommodation, travel agencies, and airlines.
