According to a representative from the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee, the district is surveying to expand projects to clean up the Red River in Phuc Tan and Chuong Duong wards, while also aiming to develop the riverside sandbars and alluvial plains along the Red River into a cultural and tourist park for the capital city.
According to the plan, the cultural and tourism park will be built primarily based on the natural terrain, in addition to organizing urban landscape architectural spaces, combined with the construction of cultural tourism spaces that connect history, traditional customs, and culture associated with rivers and waterways…
In the area between the riverbanks, Hoan Kiem district plans to create a functional zone for agricultural tourism landscapes. This could allow local households to continue growing short-term crops, but with appropriate planning for crop conversion. Tourists can visit, take photos, and enjoy the unique agricultural values in line with modern agricultural practices.
This area will feature creative spaces, playgrounds, lawns interspersed with existing perennial trees, recreational and sports areas following the natural terrain, and areas for fishing, swimming, diving, and sightseeing on the Red River...
