Every year, in March, the French School of the Far East (now the National Museum of History) is decorated with an ancient cotton tree, considered the largest and most beautiful in Hanoi. The bright red of the cotton tree and the nostalgic yellow of the French School of the Far East blend together, creating the perfect “check-in” backdrop for the capital’s residents in the last days of spring.
In March this year, the National Museum of History, together with Hanoitourist Travel Company, introduced the tour “Bac Co - Season of Red Cotton Flowers” right in the Museum’s premises. With simple yet familiar arrangements and decorations, “Bac Co - Season of Red Cotton Flowers” will recreate the image of the Vietnamese countryside under the color of red cotton flowers, through images of folk games, village gates, tea shops, shoulder poles, bamboo swings… next to the ancient red cotton tree.

The tour takes place during business hours, with no fixed departure time. During the one-hour tour and experience, visitors will feel the “Village in the City” atmosphere right in the heart of Hanoi.
In particular, in this space, visitors are also introduced to cultural features associated with daily life in the Vietnamese countryside, through priceless treasures being preserved at the Museum, such as Ngoc Lu bronze drum, Van Ban pagoda bell, Tu Ky pagoda stone incense tree, stone bridge, etc.

In March, tour prices will be reduced by 50%. Accordingly, tour prices for children 12 years old and under will be only 25,000 VND/person, and for adults, only 75,000 VND/person.
Note: The tour "Bac Co - Kapok Flower Season" depends on the blooming time of the Kapok flowers at the National History Museum, and will end when all the Kapok flowers have fallen.
