Japan
Japan has been connected to Vietnam since January 1, operated by Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways. Currently, Japan is the international route with the most regular flights in Vietnam Airlines' international flight list, with continuous flights from Wednesday to Sunday every week.
In spring, Osaka city of Japan is covered with cherry blossoms.
Vietnam is among the first four countries from which tourists can enter Japan, provided they have received a booster dose of the vaccine and have been tested for Covid-19. The government also plans to simplify the necessary paperwork and screening procedures for visitors.
Thailand
Vietnamese tourists can travel to Thailand through the “Test & Go” program without quarantine. Passengers can also register online for a Thai Tourist Pass by submitting hotel reservations for the first and fifth nights after arrival, details athttps://tp.consular.go.th/.
Vietjet Air is offering up to 50% off ticket prices and increasing flight frequency in Ho Chi Minh City -Krung Thep Maha Nakhon(Bangkok) up to 6 flights per week, from February 16 to February 21, with flight time applicable until May 31. Customers who purchase tickets on the website can enter the code "LoveBKK50" to receive the promotion.
On February 16, Thailand suddenly changed the name of the capital Bangkok to Krung Thep Maha Nakhon.
Thailand is one of the few countries that is deploying the fourth dose of the vaccine, and is also the country that will implement a tourism fee (about 200,000 VND) for international visitors, starting next April.
Malaysia
The Malaysian government has just recommended that all borders be reopened as early as March 1, with tourists arriving in the country not required to undergo quarantine, only to be tested for Covid-19 before departure and arrival. Currently, about 98% of Malaysia's adult population has received two doses of vaccine, more than half of the population has received a booster shot.

In February, there are only 3 flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur (and vice versa) on the 17th, 22nd, and 27th. From March 1st, this route will have one flight per week on Wednesday operated by Vietnam Airlines.
Cambodia
Cambodia reopened to fully vaccinated international tourists without quarantine from November 2021. However, any traveler crossing the country’s borders must present proof of vaccination, have a negative Covid-19 test result, then take a rapid antigen test upon arrival and wait for the results at the airport.
The weather in February in Cambodia is less rainy and very pleasant. This is the right time to take long walks to visit the ancient architecture in Phnom Penh, explore the street food and people of this country.
Cambodia is one of the first countries to resume regular international flights with Vietnam since the Covid-19 pandemic. Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates 10 flights per week on the Ho Chi Minh City - Phnom Penh route, from Tuesday to Saturday.
Laos
Laos has launched a plan to open a “Green Tourism Zone” to welcome foreign tourists from January this year. Accordingly, tourists coming to this country must book a package tour at the “Green Tourism Zone”, declare information and travel schedule via the online system; buy Covid-19 insurance; have a certificate of full vaccination and a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 virus within 72 hours before entering the country. In addition, when arriving in Laos, they will have to quarantine for 24 hours at a hotel designated by the Covid-19 Committee to wait for test results; and use the Laosafe app to track information and QR codes during their stay.
November to March is the dry season in Laos. This is the coolest time of the year, with little rain and also the festival season.
Currently, Vietnam Airlines is operating two-way flights Hanoi - Vientiane every Wednesday and Sunday.
Singapore
Visitors entering Singapore can fill outonline health declaration3 days before arrival; download the TraceTogether app or rent a TraceTogether token during your stay in Singapore; have proof of full vaccination at least 14 days before departure; undergo 7 days of quarantine at a hotel or approved accommodation, and undergo a Covid-19 PCR test upon completion of quarantine.
February is considered a festival month in Singapore because many big festivals take place during this time: lantern festival, Chingay street carnival, Singapore River Hongbao Festival,...
Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates regular flights to Singapore every Tuesday, Friday, Saturday from Hanoi and Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday from Ho Chi Minh City.
Korea
Visitors entering Korea must present a negative Covid-19 test certificate issued within 48 hours before departure; install the “Self-Isolation Safety Protection” application; and quarantine for 7 days at their place of residence or a place arranged by the Korean government at a cost of 150,000 KRW/day (about 2,800,000 VND).
February is a busy time for Korea with festivals and ice games. This season, snow covers everything, visitors can experience trekking on snowy mountains, participate in the Daegwallyeong Snow Festival or experience strawberry picking in Yangpyeong.
The Hanoi - Incheon route is currently operated by Vietnam Airlines with 7 flights per week, from Monday to Sunday; and the Hanoi - Seoul route is operated by Bamboo Airways every Thursday.
Australia
From 21 February, Australia will open its borders to foreign nationals, including tourists, as long as they have been vaccinated with two doses. However, all passengers arriving by air will still need to complete the digital passenger declaration (DPD). Travellers can start declaring information 7 days before flying, and complete the information within 72 hours before departure to Australia.
Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates flights to Sydney every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. From March, the airline will operate additional flights on Wednesdays from Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney and vice versa.

Domestically, airlines operating international flights are Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, and Pacific Airlines. In particular, flights to Europe are quite limited, with one flight per week to the UK, France, Russia, and two flights to Germany.
In addition, the direct flight route Ho Chi Minh City - San Francisco (USA) is being operated by Vietnam Airlines with 4 flights per week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
