I poked my head out the window and looked straight ahead. The sky was thick with fog; nothing was visible except a blinding white expanse illuminated by the two headlights in front. The clear sunlight filtered through the dense, centuries-old Samu pine trees, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't break through the thick midday March fog to follow the group to Ville De Mont Mountain Resort. The Amazing Tour 7 group sat warming themselves in the waiting room, whispering or reading the Travellive magazines on the table, occasionally setting them down to leisurely enjoy a slice of ginger-flavored candied plum or sip warm honey. The travelers rested after their long 350-kilometer journey driving their new generation Ford vehicles from Hanoi to Sa Pa.

Ville De Mont Mountain Resort is the highest mountain resort in Sa Pa, situated at an altitude of 1,550 meters above sea level, nestled within a century-old Samu pine forest, offering panoramic views of the Muong Hoa Valley. It's a tranquil retreat with private villas spaced far enough apart for privacy, yet easily accessible for gatherings.
The members of Amazing Tour 7 were very impressed with Ville De Mont Mountain Resort. Each villa had three bedrooms and one guest. Arriving here felt like stepping into a fairytale world, with its stone houses, wood paneling, and fireplaces. In the evenings, everyone would gather in the living room to chat, then light a few firewood and some potatoes. Those who travel often have so much to talk about that before they knew it, it was well past midnight and they still hadn't finished. Perhaps, in such a tranquil setting, we have more time to slow down and share with each other.

The next morning, the air was still misty, but with a touch of sunshine, the fresh air urged one to get up early and enjoy the day's merriment. The distant mountains were a verdant green, hazy and indistinct. The sun had risen above the peaks of a dense forest on the hills. The picturesque scenery, so charming on a spring morning, seemed to soothe, comfort, and cleanse the soul of disheartening thoughts. Sometimes, joy is hidden in the pink clouds, the green hills, the silvery stream, the gentle breeze, the rustling of leaves, the swaying of grass, and the air that envelops us.

Unique local cuisine of Northwest Vietnam
The first dish enjoyed by the Amazing Tour 7 group at Village De Mont Mountain Resort was duck stewed in fermented bean paste. Although this is a delicious dish from the Southwest of Vietnam, Chef Hung's adaptation with Northwestern Vietnamese spices created a unique and distinctive aroma.
When visiting Sa Pa and the Northwest region, of course, you can't miss the delicious dishes made from salmon and sturgeon. Salmon is prepared in a variety of ways, making it hard to find elsewhere. The most impressive dish for our group was the oven-baked salmon. Wrapped in a layer of flour, the fish is cooked evenly from the inside out. This keeps the fish hot when eaten and allows the spices to spread evenly and perfectly. Other authentic Northwest dishes such as grilled chicken with mắc khén spice, smoked pork salad... also delighted all diners.

In addition, outdoor parties at Tus De Liab restaurant or by the pool are a must. Tus De Liab boasts a spacious stage amidst the sea of clouds. The Amazing Tour 7 team even managed to organize an outdoor barbecue party there. The poolside setting is incredibly romantic, perfect for couples looking for a place to chat and spend time together.
