The Vietnamese passport is one of the passports that offers the least freedom of travel, most countries in the world require a visa and Korea is one of them. However, if you understand the procedures and know some regulations, getting a visa to travel to Korea is also "easy as pie".
First of all, you should go to the Consular Office - Korean Embassy in Hanoi on the 7th floor, Charmvit building 117 Tran Duy Hung or the Korean Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City at 107 Nguyen Du Street, District 1 to receive specific instructions on applying for a visa to enter Korea and get the visa application form.
For those born from Da Nang to the North, register at the Korean Embassy in Hanoi. If you want to submit at the Korean Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, you need to add: Permanent residence in the area from Da Nang to the Southern provinces (translated and notarized) and a long-term labor contract (attached with a notarized English translation).
For those born in other areas, submit in Ho Chi Minh City. If you want to submit your visa application in Hanoi, you must also provide the same documents as above.

Notes during interview
Most of the time, applying for a Korean visa does not require an interview, but there are some cases where the Embassy requires it. In that case, you should carefully read the information on the website of the Embassy or the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs to answer the interview smoothly.
You have to show them that you have a stable job and life in Vietnam; you have many relationships and certainly after the trip you are forced to return and when staying in Korea, you know where you will go and what you will do. The important thing is that when you come to the interview, you should be decent, confident and comfortable with the mentality that if you cannot get a visa this time, you can apply next time, if you cannot go to Korea, you can go to another country.
