The Volkswagen Viloran was honored as “Family Car of the Year” in the 2-5 billion VND segment at the Car Choice Awards 2025. This award is part of the Better Choice Award – an annual national event directed by the Ministry of Finance, jointly organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC) and VCCorp, to recognize innovative products that practically serve consumers.
Volkswagen Viloran's victory at the 2025 Car Choice Awards not only reflects the product's quality but also demonstrates its popularity among consumers. Nearly 4,000 vehicles have been sold in Vietnam in less than two years since its launch – a remarkable number in the luxury family car and MPV segment, where the Viloran competes directly with names like the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, and Toyota Alphard.
Positioned as a premium MPV from Germany, the Volkswagen Viloran has set a new standard for the family car segment, perfectly combining modern design, business-class amenities, powerful performance, and superior safety standards.
The Volkswagen Viloran has excellently affirmed its class in the Vietnamese car market by officially being honored as "Family Car of the Year in the 2-5 billion VND category".
The second row of seats in the Volkswagen Viloran is designed to business class standards, with a range of features to cater to rest and relaxation needs on long journeys. The power-adjustable seats can recline up to 70 degrees, integrate three-mode massage, heating, and cooling functions, and feature four-way adjustable lumbar support. This area also includes a separate control panel, USB charging ports, and amenities such as cup holders, phone holders, or book/magazine holders.
Outperforming many strong competitors in the same segment such as the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, and Toyota Alphard, the Volkswagen Viloran has affirmed its position with nearly 4,000 units sold in almost two years since its launch in the Vietnamese market.

Beyond focusing on comfort, the Volkswagen Viloran also ensures a stable and safe driving experience. The vehicle uses a 2.0 TSI engine with 220 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, paired with a new generation 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission. The quick and smooth gear changes ensure agile handling while maintaining a comfortable ride for passengers on every journey.
Positioned as a premium MPV from Germany, the Volkswagen Viloran is equipped with many high-end, business-class amenities, a modern design, superior performance, and high safety standards, making it suitable for a diverse range of customer needs in Vietnam.
The Volkswagen Viloran uses a chassis with 77% high-strength steel, of which 24% is hot-formed steel, ensuring a strong body while maintaining optimal weight. This design contributes to improved safety and driving feel. The car is also equipped with driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, collision warning, emergency braking, and lane change assist. The Volkswagen Viloran is currently officially distributed in Vietnam in two versions: Premium (2.088 billion VND) and Luxury (2.288 billion VND).
