At the end of December, the Saigon riverside park area on the Thu Thiem bank, at the foot of the Ba Son bridge in Thu Duc City, officially opened to visitors. This is the location for the New Year's Eve celebration 2024 with the theme "Thu Duc Gathering," taking place from December 23rd to February 17th, 2024.
Recently, the Bach Dang Wharf area and Saigon Riverfront Park have become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Ho Chi Minh City. Strategically located between the Ba Son Bridge and the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City), the park attracts many visitors from the beginning of the holiday season. It boasts numerous amenities such as a shopping center, convenience stores, and a ferry terminal. However, the most striking feature is the sunflower garden, adding to the romantic and impressive atmosphere of the Saigon Riverfront Park.
Ms. Thanh Thúy (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) shared: "This is my first time visiting this park because I've seen it trending online lately. It's conveniently located just across the Ba Son bridge, making it easy to get there. The park is spacious, so it's comfortable and not too crowded. I really like the sunflower garden here; it's next to the river, so it looks great in photos."
Currently, over 15,000 sunflowers are in full bloom, attracting many locals and tourists.
With a length of approximately 600 meters and an average width of 40 meters, extending from the pier to the Saigon River tunnel, this park is designed with sophistication, friendliness to nature and the environment. It stretches out with many trees, lawns, and walking paths for locals and tourists to enjoy, relax, and take photos.
The park's highlight is its sunflower field, covering over 5,200 square meters, situated along the riverbank and behind the An Khanh communal house. Currently, more than 15,000 sunflowers have begun to bloom just in time for the New Year, attracting locals and tourists to visit, relax, and take photos. A second bloom is expected, with approximately 20,000 plants in full bloom for the Lunar New Year 2024. With the sunflower garden, visitors have the opportunity to take photos with a "million-dollar view," as the entire magnificent city unfolds before their eyes.

Saigon's riverside park is not only an ideal destination for young people seeking a refreshing atmosphere, but it also attracts them with the presence of the Den Da coffee chain and the GS25 convenience store. These two establishments steal the spotlight at the riverside park, boasting prime locations for city views. Sitting by the river, chatting with friends, enjoying delicious drinks, and admiring the picturesque scenery is definitely an experience worth trying on a weekend.
However, despite having a sunflower garden, a cafe, and several food stalls, the park still has many unfinished features. The cafes are still quite sparse, which often leads to a shortage of seating for visitors.
