Residents of Tokyo were delighted by the surreal 3D cat image that appeared vividly on advertising screens in Shinjuku district. Projected onto a 4K LED screen, the giant calico cat walked around and meowed like a real cat in the heart of Tokyo, Japan.
The giant cat's image was broadcast continuously from 7 AM to 1 AM. It began with the cat waking up startled in the morning, then in the afternoon, it stretched and stood up, meowing at passersby. In the evening, it lay down, resting its head on its paws, and gradually drifted off to sleep.
Cross Space is one of the companies behind this performance. The company also live-streamed the billboard on YouTube so that those who couldn't attend in person could still admire the impressive technological display.
The billboard located on the east exit of Shinjuku Station, in Tokyo's busiest district, attracts a large number of passersby every day. According to one statistics website, approximately 190,000 people see the screen daily.
This could be considered an impressive "sales pitch" by Cross Space, attracting potential clients who want to make their advertisements stand out amidst the already crowded billboards in Tokyo's bustling central streets.

In recent years, 3D billboards have become increasingly common in Asian countries. Notably, there is a giant 3D wave image displayed on a large billboard in the Gangnam district of Seoul, South Korea.
Beach holidays have become a challenging experience for many people around the world due to the impact of the pandemic. Therefore, advertisers have created realistic-looking images simulating ocean waves crashing onto the shore.
