The Palm Islands are an artificial archipelago in Dubai built by Nakheel Properties, consisting of three islands: Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira. Construction of the complex began in 2001 but was only completed in 2011, with Palm Jumeirah. The remaining islands are still under construction, but their basic shapes give tourists an idea of its uniqueness and splendor.
With a construction investment of more than 12 billion USD, this project simulates palm branches facing the Persian Gulf and is one of the rare projects in the world that can be seen from the moon.
Dubai Palm Island has a very special design, seen from above like palm trees in a crescent moon, standing out on the clear blue sea. The construction process of this archipelago makes the whole world admire the spending of Middle Eastern tycoons. People poured sand to fill the sea, creating a soft but solid shape, then built many magnificent works on it such as entertainment centers, restaurants, hotels, complexes, luxury apartments, ... extremely modern.
