Vietnam's Son Doong Cave is also among the must-see caves for adventurous travelers.

 

Son Doong Cave, located in Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park (Quang Binh province), is the world's largest cave, boasting the most beautiful stalactites and the longest underground river.

Son Doong Cave was first discovered by a local resident in 1991, but it wasn't until an expedition by the British Royal Cave Association surveyed it in 2009 that it became widely known. Photo: Giant stalactite formations inside the cave, some reaching heights of up to 40 meters.
