The Chromatic Photography Awards is known as an annual international color photography competition for both professional and amateur photographers.
The competition is held annually with the mission of sharing emotions, stories, and unique perspectives through the lens. It helps participants share their passions, stories, and viewpoints, while promoting new talents and celebrating diversity and creativity in the colorful world of photography. The competition offers three prizes: a special prize (2 categories), a prize for professional photographers, and a prize for amateur photographers (20 categories each).
The special prize, "Color Photographer of the Year 2023," went to French artist Pierre et Florent for his work "Mémoire Habillée." This project, which began in 2019, showcases how fashion expresses itself to the world in the way each individual chooses.
These include 20 categories: abstract, architecture, cityscapes, conceptual, culture, environment, fashion, fine arts, landscapes, nature, nudity, people, photojournalism, graphic photography, portraits, sports, still life, street photography, travel, and finally, wildlife - animals.
"On the Nhu Y River" won first prize in the human photography category by author Chim Oanh (Do Thi Oanh), depicting people pulling fishing nets on the Nhu Y River in Hue.
Dang Hoai Anh's third-prize winning work, "Twilight," depicts tea pickers harvesting tea early in the morning while the cold mist still blankets the landscape.
