Experience the art of performing on stage with Theater Jazz from artist Linh An
Theater Dance Vietnam was founded by Linh An & Johnson Brock in 2019 after collaborating on dance video projects in Times Square in New York and performing in dance shows, they decided to take their work abroad.
Theater Jazz is a branch of jazz dance (an American performing art form originating from West African dance culture). The word “theatre” comes from the concept of musical theater where famous musicals are performed, often on Broadway (New York), West-end (London) and other world-famous music venues, some examples: Chicago, Lion King, Wicked, A Chorus Line... Thus, Theater dance is a style of jazz dance commonly seen on Broadway and is known for its high entertainment value, rich storytelling, serving mainly in dance performances in musicals.

The Vietnam Dance Theater appears at 282 Factory this Christmas Eve
This style is a combination of authentic jazz movements, ballet techniques, modern dance and sometimes tap dance. In recent years, stage jazz has developed even more, becoming more individual and diverse, serving not only Broadway performances but also the film industry, dance competitions (e.g. So you think you can dance), live shows. This is clearly demonstrated by the creativity of “new generation” choreographers such as: Andy Blankenbuehler, Al Blackstone, Michael Mindlin, Karla Puno Garcia, Josh Assor...
