However, there was no ice or snow, the weather was just cold and dry."
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has just updated the impact of the strengthening cold air. Accordingly, the Gulf of Tonkin has strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8; the Central Coast has strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 9.
Updated actual temperature measured at 6am on December 22, some places have temperature down to minus like Mau Son (Lang Son) -2.2 degrees Celsius. Many places have low temperature, like Sa Pa (Lao Cai) 3.8 degrees Celsius; Cao Bang 6.5 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, in Yen Bai, on the morning of December 22, in Mu Cang Chai district, the temperature dropped below 2 degrees Celsius, at Khau Nha peak, bordering La Pan Tan commune and Cao Pha commune, frost appeared.
According to Mr. Pham Tien Lam - Secretary of the Party Committee of La Pan Tan commune, due to the strengthening of cold air, in recent days, the temperature here has dropped, in many places it is only 2 degrees Celsius and many places have appeared with frost.
The commune has directed schools to take measures to protect students from the cold, especially stopping all outdoor activities; and at the same time, established teams to inspect the work of preventing hunger and cold for livestock.
