Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, and Phong Nha-Ke Bang are three Vietnamese sites selected by a renowned British travel magazine as among the most impressive UNESCO World Heritage sites in Southeast Asia.

Ha Long Bay

One of the most amazing experiences in Ha Long Bay is cruising on a boat, admiring the natural scenery with its emerald green waters, towering limestone cliffs covered in pristine tropical rainforests.

Wanderlust notes that while Vietnam is not the only place with massive limestone formations, nowhere in the world is more impressive in scale than Ha Long Bay. It boasts thousands of islands of varying sizes amidst the vast ocean.

First recognized as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site in 1994, after nearly 30 years, the place has remained virtually unchanged, while the number of visitors has steadily increased.

Geological erosion in Ha Long Bay has created mysterious and impressive caves. Visitors can take boat trips deep inside to admire the beauty of these caves, or visit floating villages and explore stunning beaches.

Hoi An

Hoi An was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site perhaps because of its nostalgic beauty and the peaceful, slow-paced life of its local people. Unlike the tranquil image of Hoi An today, it was once a thriving port town, a meeting place and trading hub for merchants from all over the world.

Memories of Hoi An's past, with its diverse cultures, are reflected in its French-style buildings, Chinese assembly halls, and elegant Japanese-style bridge. The blend of Western architecture and Eastern cultures has created a harmonious and unique architectural whole in Hoi An.

Along the street are shops offering a wide variety of products, most notably lanterns in vibrant, eye-catching colors. In the evening, the brilliant light of the lanterns seems to envelop the entire street, illuminating the night sky.

Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park

Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park was recognized by UNESCO in 2003. In 2009, a delegation from the British Royal Cave Association officially announced the discovery of Son Doong Cave, a magnificent natural wonder. Since then, more and more colossal caves have been discovered, concealing sparkling stalactites and stalagmites.

In addition, visitors can choose more accessible caves such as Thien Duong Cave, Phong Nha Cave, and Dark Cave, all of which are ideal locations to admire the mysterious beauty, the giant rock formations of diverse shapes, or simply enjoy the fresh, cool air.
