For the Lunar New Year celebration of the Year of the Snake 2025, Hanoi will organize a total of 30 fireworks display locations with 31 firing sites.
Notably, there are 10 locations for high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays, and 21 locations for low-altitude fireworks displays. The 10 locations for high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays include: Hoan Kiem District (in front of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Headquarters and Hanoi Post Office), Tay Ho District (at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, in front of the District People's Committee gate), Nam Tu Liem District (at the F1 racetrack area, Phu Do ward), Hai Ba Trung District (Coconut Island, Thong Nhat Park, Le Dai Hanh ward), Ha Dong District (Van Quan Lake, Van Quan ward), Son Tay Town (Son Tay Ancient Citadel), Thanh Tri District (Lake Reservoir Project area, Tam Hiep commune), Dong Anh District (Dong Anh District Sports Center), and Bac Tu Liem District (Hoa Binh Park, Xuan Dinh ward).
During the Lunar New Year celebration of the Year of the Snake 2025, Hanoi will have a 15-minute fireworks display, from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 29th (the eve of the Lunar New Year).
In addition, 21 locations for low-altitude fireworks displays include: Ba Dinh District (at southeast of Ngoc Khanh Lake, Ngoc Khanh Ward), Hoang Mai District (at Den Lu Lake Park, Hoang Van Thu Ward), Long Bien District (Park 02, Viet Hung Ward), Dong Da District (at Xa Dan Lake, Nam Dong Ward), Cau Giay District (at Cau Giay Park, Dich Vong Ward), Thanh Xuan District (at Thanh Xuan Park, Nhan Chinh Ward), Gia Lam District (at 1 Thuan An Street, Trau Quy Town), Me Linh District (rooftop of the 5th floor of the District People's Committee Hall), Ba Vi District (at Quang Oai Stadium, Tay Dang Town), Dan Phuong District (at grandstand B, district stadium, Phung Town), Thach That District (at the stadium, Lien Quan Town), Chuong My District (at the district stadium, Chuc Son Town), Thuong Tin District (at Thuong Tin District Stadium), Quoc Oai District (on the rooftop of the 6-story building of the District Military Command), Phu Xuyen District (at Thao Sub-district) My Duc District (at Phu Xuyen town, Phu Xuyen district), My Duc District (at the ecological lake park, Dai Nghia town), Ung Hoa District (at the district stadium, Van Dinh town), Soc Son District (at the district stadium, Soc Son town), Phuc Tho District (at the district stadium, Phuc Tho town), Thanh Oai District (at the green park, Kim Bai town), Hoai Duc District (at Mailand Hanoi City urban area, An Khanh commune, Hoai Duc district).
The number of high-altitude fireworks totals 6,000 (10 sites, 600 fireworks each); the number of low-altitude fireworks totals 3,420 sets.
Up to 6,000 high-altitude fireworks (600 fireworks per location, 10 sites) and 3,420 low-altitude fireworks displays (120 stands per location, 90 stands per location) will be launched into the Hanoi sky on New Year's Eve. What could be more wonderful than witnessing such a spectacular fireworks display? With such a large quantity of fireworks invested in, the New Year's Eve fireworks show promises to provide a visually stunning experience for the people.
The fireworks display is scheduled to last 15 minutes. The event will take place from 00:00 to 00:15 on January 29, 2025 (the eve of the Lunar New Year, Year of the Snake). Funding will be provided by the City of Hanoi.
Visitors planning to watch the fireworks should arrive at least 40 minutes to an hour early to secure the best seats or viewing spots. Bring a warm jacket and some water or snacks in case of a long wait. Most importantly, prioritize safety and safeguard your personal belongings such as wallets, phones, and bags.
