Named after the Cambodian interpretation of a deity with characteristics of the Hindu gods Vishnu and Shiva, Hariharalaya, dating from 800-1000 BC, was the capital of Vedic Cambodia.

Pune is the birthplace of India's most famous yoga legend: BKS Iyengar. He introduced the idea of using props like ropes to help students with limited mobility, thus making practice more therapeutic and accessible.
