According to the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Vietnam is one of the countries with the strongest growth in international tourist arrivals year-on-year at 29.1%. In September this year, Vietnam was honored as “Asia’s Leading Destination” at the 25th World Travel Awards. The number of tourists to Vietnam in the first 6 months of 2018 increased by 27.2% year-on-year to 7.9 million. On July 1, 2018, the Vietnamese government exempted visas for three years for visitors from the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy until June 2021.
