Departing from Ubud at 1:30 am, the 9 members of the group had a sleepless night to begin the journey to explore this majestic volcano.

Batur is a volcano in the Agung mountain range, located in the town of Kitamani on the island of Bali. This mountain was formed between 23,000 and 28,000 years ago. Mount Batur is considered a dormant volcano because it is located between two volcanoes northwest of Agung. Every year, Mount Batur welcomes thousands of tourists to experience the feeling of climbing to the top of the mountain in the middle of the night and immersing themselves in the poetic natural scenery of the first rays of the day.

After the journey, all 9 members were present at the foot of the mountain. At this time, the sky was still pitch black. Each member of the group was given a small flashlight to light up the path. Every 5 people would have a guide to ensure absolute safety. With a height of 1,700 m above sea level, Batur is not a very difficult mountain climbing journey because most people are able to climb to the top. However, this journey contains many dangers that not everyone is brave enough to stay calm to the end. The mountain climbing path has no lights so the trip takes place completely in the dark. Due to the influence of the volcano, the steep path is full of sand and small gravel, making the steps unsteady, making us slippery and prone to falling. After 2 hours of groping in the dark, the 9 members of the group arrived at the top of Batur just in time for sunrise.
Starting from the purple of the afternoon, then the red rays, and finally the brilliant golden yellow that lit up the entire hilly area.
The time from when the first streaks of light appear until the whole sky is lit up is very short, so everyone tries to enjoy the sunrise in this special place.
