Cong Tri and his "Picking Up the Slanted Dewdrops" collection at New York Fashion Week.
Following the success of his Autumn-Winter 2019 collection in February, on September 9th, designer Nguyen Cong Tri officially unveiled his new designs, titled "Picking Up the Slanted Dewdrops," at New York Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2020.

This is the second time designer Cong Tri has had the honor of bringing his latest creation to one of the world's most prestigious fashion weeks.

Cong Tri chose two main styles of high-heeled shoes for the show, differing in the toe or heel design, and also included transparent strappy sandals reminiscent of dewdrops. Cong Tri's new designs drew inspiration from morning dew, plants, and nature, so the main colors of the collection were white, yellow, brown, and green. The designer from Da Nang used many thin materials such as sheer silk and mesh voile, leading to several models having to go topless during the show to ensure the colors and styles of the garments were showcased.

The monochrome design on a soft fabric evokes the image of sparkling, translucent dewdrops.

These sensual long dresses, showcased through clever cuts at the chest and shoulders, demonstrate the confidence and strength of women, ready to explode at any moment.

Yellow and neon green are the two most popular colors in Cong Tri's latest collection. Because of their vibrant colors, they are used in minimalist designs that flatter the wearer's figure to the fullest.

Blue, a color that's generally difficult to wear well, is the optimal choice if Cong Tri wants to appeal to Western audiences. He continues to maintain his signature style with the sharp, edgy shoulder pads – a hallmark that's indispensable in all of Cong Tri's recent collections.

Cong Tri's strength lies in his designs specifically for the red carpet. He skillfully combines many eye-catching details in embroidery to create a unique personality, a captivating portrayal of the glamorous beauty of ladies in every moment of their lives.

It's no exaggeration to say that "Picking Up the Slanted Dewdrops" will be another success for designer Cong Tri, as the creations in this collection seem tailor-made for the most prestigious red carpets, and that's exactly what the public is eagerly anticipating to see in the near future.
Highlights of New York Fashion Week
Alongside the pristine and innocent collection by Vietnamese designer Nguyen Cong Tri, there were countless collections brimming with color and style from leading designers worldwide. Let's take a look at some of the most memorable collections from New York Fashion Week.
1. Oscar de la Renta
History, architecture, religion – these are the opening themes of Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia's latest collection for Oscar de la Renta. The pair were inspired by the ornate interiors and vibrant colors of the Cathedral of Cordoba in Spain. The cocktail dresses exude a youthful charm, while the accent jackets make the outfits look like oil paintings embroidered on canvas.

2. Dion Lee
Is it possible for a fashion collection to be both architecturally striking and romantically sweet? Or to be both conventional and free-spirited? The answer is absolutely yes. The proof is Dion Lee's stunning collection at New York Fashion Week. The juxtaposition of these two contrasting themes has always been a hallmark of the brand, but this season, Lee's ability to balance these two opposing aesthetic extremes was truly impressive.

3. Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacobs closed Fashion Week with a magnificent collection featuring incredibly bold choices. Despite the show being 90 minutes late, it's undeniable that Marc Jacobs delivered a truly impressive collection.
A lemon-yellow, off-the-shoulder gown worn by Adut Akech seemed destined to become a great icon on the red carpet.
The thick feathers enveloping the upper half of the body create a rather heavy yet alluring feel – this meticulously redesigned outfit, a reinterpretation from the previous season, delivers undeniable splendor.

4. Brandon Maxwell
Brandon Maxwell's collection this season continues to redefine aesthetics with dark silhouettes and cinched waists in monochrome outfits of pure neon green or red.

5. Tory Burch
Fashion designer Tory Burch drew particular inspiration from Black Mountain College – a school founded in 1933 in North Carolina, known for its unique approach to education and its role in shaping the trajectory of modern art in America. This season's collection is a blend of revamped classics. The eccentric modernity in the designs—rough lines, oversized ruffled collars, cut-glass jewelry, and high-heeled boots—all combine to create a captivating collection.

6. Gabriela Hearst
Gabriela Hearst's collection possesses a unique sophistication, perfectly highlighting her renowned tailoring skills. Her designs are inspired by the life of Russian ballet dancer Maya Plisetskaya. The most striking aspect lies in seemingly small details – she used replicas of Uruguayan coins for buttons and recycled materials to minimize her negative environmental impact.

7. Tom Ford
Tom Ford's collection this season is neither wild nor trendy. It's simply luxurious. Luxurious, that's enough.

8. Tomo Koizumi
This collection might not be suitable for everyday wear, but it was the most fun and amazing debut at New York Fashion Week in years.

9. Longchamp
Flowing silk dresses and hand-embroidered pleated skirts in tulle or delicate wool are paired with black fur coats and outerwear that evoke a classical architectural style.
