According to The Sunday Telegraph, as of October 4th, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will waive hotel quarantine requirements for travelers from many countries. In addition, the list of destinations on the UK's "red list" will be reduced from 54 countries to just 9.
People who have received both doses of the vaccine and are coming from countries such as South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, and Indonesia will no longer have to quarantine for 10 days in a hotel upon arrival in the UK from the end of October.
These changes are expected to be announced next week, which could lead to a surge in bookings, thereby boosting business for UK airlines and travel companies that have been largely shut down during the pandemic.

The UK had planned to ease travel restrictions from October 4th by removing many countries from the list of medium-risk destinations, and no longer requiring fully vaccinated travelers from countries not on the "red list" to take a Covid-19 test before arriving in the UK.
The UK government added that, starting in late October, visitors to the UK will be tested quickly on arrival instead of undergoing PCR testing two days after arrival as before.
