Centennial Celebration – a work that blends the essence of traditional culture and art, formed from the exquisite collaboration between Emeralda Resort Ninh Binh – a resort space imbued with the spirit of the Northern Vietnamese countryside, Dong Phong – a dedicated unit in researching and restoring ancient Vietnamese costumes from the 10th to 20th centuries, and young artist Pho Ngan, who is passionate about preserving traditional beauty through his nostalgic brushstrokes.
"Centennial Celebration" takes visitors into a space where traditional Vietnamese wedding rituals are performed.
A century-old picture of wedding ceremonies – from traditional costumes to rituals.
The "Centennial Celebrations" exhibition takes visitors on a journey back in time, into a space where traditional Vietnamese wedding rituals are vividly recreated through four stages: from the engagement ceremony, the bridal procession, to the wedding ceremony and reception. The entire story fully portrays the customs, rituals, and attire of various social strata, spanning from the royal court to folk life, from the strict "three books and six rituals" of the Northern Delta, to the solemnity and intricacy of the Central region, and finally to the generosity and free spirit of the Southern riverine region.

The original costumes have been meticulously and elaborately restored.
Contributing to this historical tapestry, Dong Phong presents meticulously restored, authentic traditional costumes, paying attention to every detail of material, pattern, and silhouette, reflecting the beauty and social status of each era. Simultaneously, artist Pho Ngan offers a unique collection of sketches and illustrations exclusively for Emeralda Resort Ninh Binh, capturing the special and sacred moments of the joyous occasion, like a vibrant living chronicle in color.

The entire story vividly portrays the customs, rituals, and costumes of various social strata, ranging from the royal court and nobility to the lives of the common people.
An art space in the heart of Van Long.
Held at Emeralda Resort Ninh Binh – a resort steeped in the charm of a Northern Vietnamese village – the exhibition is set amidst lotus ponds, bamboo groves, and fruit orchards laden with ripe fruit in the romantic autumn weather, transporting visitors back to an ancient Vietnamese village from a hundred years ago. Throughout the event, visitors have the opportunity to learn more about the traditional wedding customs of our ancestors over the past 100 years, learn about the custom of preparing betel leaves in the shape of a phoenix wing, or experience natural fabric dyeing, touching the traditional dyeing process and listening to stories about the colors symbolizing love, fidelity, and blessings for a long and happy marriage.
