According to the pilot project for welcoming international tourists submitted to the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism on October 25th by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh Province, Nguyen Phi Long, the province aims to restore and develop the strengths of its tourism market, making tourism a key economic sector of the province.
Binh Dinh province is expected to welcome international tourists from the beginning of November, with the main markets coming from Northeast Asia, Russia, the United States, and some European countries that have bilateral agreements with Vietnam. These international tourists are coming to Binh Dinh on package tours organized by international travel agencies and have already entered and traveled in other localities within the country.
The planned tourist destinations are the center of Quy Nhon city, Phuong Mai peninsula (including Nhon Ly, Nhon Hai, and Nhon Hoi communes), Nhon Chau island commune (Quy Nhon city), and Cat Tien town (Phu Cat district).

According to the regulations, tourists need to have received all doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. For a two-dose vaccine, the last dose must be given at least 14 days and no more than 12 months prior to the date of entry, or the entrant must have a certificate confirming recovery from the disease, with the time from discharge from the hospital to the date of entry not exceeding 6 months. Tourists must have a negative PCR test within 72 hours before departure and be certified negative on the first day of entry.

From June 28th to the present, Binh Dinh has recorded 1,604 cases of Covid-19; of which 1,382 have recovered, 17 have died, and 205 are currently undergoing treatment. Binh Dinh has 679,000 people who have received their first dose of the vaccine, accounting for 63.5% of the population over 18 years old, including 81,200 who have received their second dose, representing 7.6% of the adult population. Binh Dinh is one of the provinces that implemented the "new normal" earliest following the government's directive. It was the first province to reopen spas, massage parlors, karaoke venues, etc., starting on October 15th.
