With the aim of showcasing the potential and advantages of Binh Thuan tourism, as well as the unique traditional cultural festivals of the province's ethnic communities, to the people and tourists both domestically and internationally, the "Week" will feature street cultural activities in the central area of Phan Thiet city, including: the Opening Ceremony of the Street Culture Week themed "Binh Thuan Welcomes the Future" (evening of August 25th, Nguyen Tat Thanh Street); the Street Carnival themed "Colors of Binh Thuan" (evening of August 26th, central streets of Phan Thiet); and the Street Music Festival themed "Binh Thuan - Rock Fest" (evening of September 1st - 2nd at Mui Ne Sand Dunes).
Furthermore, to stimulate the development of cultural tourism products and contribute to spreading the unique cultural values of Binh Thuan to tourists from near and far, from August 27th to September 3rd, the "Cultural Heritage of Vietnam's Seas and Islands" Exhibition will take place on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street with activities such as: the opening ceremony and artistic exchange of provinces and cities; display of documents and artifacts about Vietnam's sea and island culture in history; images of building and protecting Vietnam's sovereignty over its seas and islands; artistic photographs of Vietnam's seas and islands; and "Vietnamese Youth with the Seas and Islands of the Homeland". In addition, there will be exhibition booths from coastal provinces and cities to introduce cultural and natural heritage, scenic spots; sea and island heritage in tourism development and integration; introduction of handicrafts, local cuisine and specialties; and performances of traditional folk art.
As part of the series of events in response to the 2023 National Tourism Year "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence", from August 25th to September 3rd, Phan Thiet city and its famous tourist destinations will continuously host vibrant and unique cultural and tourism activities of the 2023 National Tourism Year Street Culture Week.
In response to the National Tourism Year 2023 and to create more tourism products for visitors on the occasion of the National Day on September 2nd, the Street Culture Week also features an art exchange activity themed "Sea and Islands - The Heart of Vietnam," with art troupes from participating provinces and cities performing in rotation at the stage and exhibition area of their respective localities within the "Cultural Heritage of Vietnam's Sea and Islands" Exhibition space. During this period, from August 27th to September 3rd, an exhibition and presentation of tourism products will also take place along Nguyen Tat Thanh Street. Here, businesses and travel companies will introduce traditional tours and routes, new tourism products, and souvenirs for tourists.
